KEN
Ken has over 40 years of experience in the fields of construction, land surveying, civil engineering design, land planning, as well as architectural design. He has worked in the engineering and architectural fields in Arizona, Washington, and Utah. He has designed over 400 homes as well as many apartment and townhome projects. He was a general contractor in the State of Utah and has been involved in many building and development projects throughout the western United States.
PROFESSIONAL OBJECTIVE
My objectives are to use my knowledge and skills to develop creative and cost effective projects and to help improve the quality of work done in the architectural profession. My understanding of construction has helped me develop builder friendly and affordable projects. It is important to me provide clients with well thought out designs that are accurate, readable, and cost effective to build.
WORK EXPERIENCE
I have spent over 40 years in the construction, development, and design fields in one form or another. In addition to my architectural background, I have extensive experience in land surveying, civil engineering design. That experience includes subdivision design, site design, and land planning. I have worked for several civil engineering firms in Arizona, Utah and Washington. I was a general contractor in Utah and focused on single-family home construction. I have also passed the ICBO Certified Building Inspector exam. I have been studying drafting and architecture since 1971 - first on the drafting board and then later in CAD. I have designed homes of all sizes in several western states. Some of these homes have been in The “Street of Dreams” and “Parade of Homes” and have brought me several design awards. I am very comfortable with the design programs Revit Architecture and AutoCAD.
